"It was my first time going anywhere since my Diabetes diagnosis. I was prescribed Metformin to keep my blood sugar low, but one of the side effects was bowel incontinence. So my friend and I are trying to find a bathroom because I gotta go really bad. I run into the McDonald’s in the Theater District and ask if I can use the accessibility bathroom and they refused. They told me regular bathrooms are downstairs and that I had to use those. I almost shat myself waiting in line for the bathroom. I felt so embarrassed."
