"Need to Find a Bathroom in New York City? Try TikTok." - The New York Times
Got2Go has established itself as a leading voice in public restroom access, inclusive hygiene, and urban accessibility, with a reputation that extends beyond its digital audience into policy, government, media, and industry. Created as a TikTok account to share free NYC bathrooms in July 2021, Got2Go has grown into an audience of 699k+ followers across social platforms, digital content that has reached millions, and a crowdsourced restroom map that has grown into Google's largest and most frequently used map in the world.

The brand worked extensively with the Manhattan Borough President’s Office on campaigns supporting multiple bathroom bills designed to improve restroom access, availability, and maintenance throughout New York City. One significant milestone was Intro 258, which passed the New York City Council by an overwhelming 49–1 vote. Got2Go’s advocacy was also credited in connection with the Mayor’s Office’s “Ur in Luck” initiative, aimed at making New York City public restrooms more accessible, equitable, and safe.
Beyond policy, Got2Go was invited to serve as a leading voice in Tork’s roundtable discussion on inclusive hygiene in public restrooms, co-hosted with the Global Handwashing Partnership and bringing together perspectives from industry, nonprofit organizations, and government. Got2Go has also partnered with Gothamist on a guide to finding public restrooms in NYC, collaborated with The Infatuation on a guide to the city’s best restaurant restrooms, and been featured on NPR in a segment examining the disappearance of public toilets and the history of pay toilets. Got2Go’s founder, Teddy Siegel, also authored the New York Times opinion essay “If New York Is So Great, Why Isn’t There Anywhere to Pee?”, bringing Got2Go’s mission to one of the country’s most influential editorial platforms and further establishing the brand’s credibility as a leading voice on public restroom access.

Got2Go has learned from its community that the lack of accessible and sanitary bathrooms in NYC is not only a public health issue, but an equity crisis. Got2Go advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion through documenting testimonials by fellow New Yorkers & tourists due to the lack of NYC's bathrooms.
